My grandmother is a very special lady, as those of you who have met or know her can certainly attest to.  She is everyone’s friend and always greets you with a smile on her face, no matter the kind of day she is having. She has been a big part of my life and a source of great inspiration and support. She’s had a tough year after my grandfather and her husband of 60 years passed away last November, but it has given me a chance to see her strength and courage in a different light. While I was back home in July, I had the opportunity to take a few quick portraits of her and am honored to share them with you. She says she feels younger than her age and I hope that feeling continues for many more years. Please enjoy this simple tribute.

Mi abuela es una mujer muy especial, como los que la han conocido ya saben. Es amiga de todos y siempre te saluda con una sonrisa. Es una gran parte de mi vida y una fuente de inspiracion y apoyo. Ha tendio un año dificil despues de que mi abuelo y su esposo de 60 años murio en noviembre, pero me ha dado la oportunidad de ver su fuerza y coraje. Ella dice que siente mas joven que su edad y espero que eso sigue por muchos años mas. Disfruta esta regalo para ella.
