Con la llegada de febrero y en la espera del día de San Valentín, me alegro anunciar que Media Naranja Photography está ofreciendo el tercer concurso anual “Celebra Amor y Amistad” este año. Para ver los ganadores del año pasado, revisa aquí.

Yo creo que hay que aprovechar celebrar amor en todos sus formas: amor de pareja, familias, entre amigos, etc., porque todos significan algo importante en nuestras vidas. Para seguir con la idea, tu vas a ayudar decidir quién gana, nominando a alguien que tu crees ejemplifica amor y/o amistad. El ganador del concurso recibirá una sesión fotográfica junto con un disco de fotos de la sesión.

Para nominar a alguien, manda un correo electrónico a info@medianaranjaphotography.com con el nombre de la persona y una historia corta de porque tu crees que esa persona representa el amor o amistad. Si tienes una foto, la puedes incluir también. (Con la nominación, das permiso publicarla en facebook y/o el blog. No puedes nominar a ti misma-la idea es compartir el amor con los demás.
La nominación tiene que ser recibido entre el 30 de enero yel 9 de febrero, 2012.
Entre el 10-13 de febrero, vota por su historia favorita a través de la página de Facebook de Media Naranja Photography. Avisa a sus amigos para que participen también!
Se anunciara el ganador el 14 de febrero. Para seguir compartiendo la buena onda, la persona que nomina al ganador también recibirá una sesión fotográfica gratuuita para ellos (no incluye el disco de fotos).
Las sesiones deben ser usada antes del 15 de abril en Santiago (Se puede realizar fuera de Santiago por un cobro adicional). Puede ser una sesión de embarazo, bebe, niños, familia o pareja de hasta 5 personas. No se puede usar los premios para una sesión ya comprada o programada.
Comparte los detalles con los amigos y familiares para que manden sus nominaciones también.

With the arrival of February and Valentine’s Day coming soon and Media Naranja Photography is featuring the “Share the Love” contest again this year. Check out last year’s winners here.

I think its important to celebrate love in all its forms: between a couple, family or even friend, because they all mean a lot in our lives. To keep with the theme, you help decide who wins, nominating someone you think exemplifies love and/or friendship. The winner of the contest will receive a photo session and CD of images.

To participate, here’s how it works.

To nominate someone, send an e-mail to info@medianaranjaphotography.com with the name of the person and a paragraph on why you think that person represents love and/or friendship. If you have a photo, you can include it as well. (Note, by sending the nomination, you give permission for it to be published on the blog and/or facebook). You may not nominate yourself-the idea is to share the love with others.
The nomination must be received between January 30 and February 9, 2012.
Between February 10-13, 2011, vote for your favorite story on Media Naranja Photography’s facebook page. Tell your friends so they participate too!
The winner will be announced on February 14. To keep sharing the love, the person who nominated the winner will receive a photo session for themselves as well (does not include the CD).
The sessions must be used by April 15, 2012 in Santiago (for sessions outside of Santiago, the winner must pay a travel fee). It can be used towards a maternity, newborn, kids, family or couples session of up to 5 people. The prizes may not be used towards an already scheduled or purchased session or package.
I’d love it if you share this information with friends and family so that they send their nominations too.

Soon to Be Three: Santiago Maternity Photography

We had a gorgeous summer evening for this beautiful couple’s maternity session. Their baby may be coming very soon, so I wanted to make sure I got a sneak peek of their session up quick. Anita & Will: Fotografia de Matrimonio Parte 2

Ya volvemos con parte 2 del matrimonio de Anita y Will. Si no viste parte 1, lo puedes ver aqui. Se casaron enfrente amigos y familiares en una ceremonia muy linda en la Iglesia del Santismo Sacramento. Despues de una relacion bien internacional, por fin dijeron sus votos bonitos, Will promitiendo de estar con ella siempre, aunque sea las 4 de la manana.

The married in front of friends and family in a lovely ceremony at the Iglesia del Santismo Sacramento. After a long international relationship, they finally got to say their vows, Will promising to be with her and love her always, even at 4 in the morning.

Despues de la ceremonia, todos disfrutaron de la recpecion en el Club de la Union. Anita queria un matrimonio que aprovechara la ciudad, y el Club fue perfecto para eso. Fue un buen lugar de fiesta, con comida rica y una buena salon y vista para aprovechar un par de fotos con los novios y familiares. After the ceremony, everyone enjoyed the reception at the classic Club de la Union. Anita wanted a wedding that took advantage of the Santiago and all it has to offer and the Club was perfect. It was a great place for a party, with good food and beautiful rooms and a view to catch a few photos with the bride and groom and their families.

Anita y Will: Fotografia de Matrimonio Parte 1, Anita & Will:Wedding Photography Part 1

Anita y Will celebraon su amor el sabado, juntando familiares y amigos de dos contientes. Fue un dia muy esperado despues de haber pasado por muchas cosas juntas y todos los invitados notaban la relacion especial que ellos comparten. Antes de la ceremonia, pase la tarde con ambos las mujeres y los hombres mientras se preparaban y aqui van algunas de las fotos de ellos y los detalles del dia. No olviden volver para parte 2: la ceremonia.

Anita & Will celebrated their love on Saturday, together with family and friends from two continents. It was a highly anticipated day after having experienced so much together and all the guests could feel the special relationship that they share. Before the ceremony, I spent the afternoon with both the bridesmaids and groomsmen and here are some of the photos of them and the details of the day. Me encantaron los vestidos de las damas. Anita no les quizo hacer llevar el mismo vestido a todos, entonces esto fue una buena forma hacer que todos se ven bien juntos pero que cada uno tiene su personalidad.

I loved the bridesmaids’ dresses. Anita didn’t want to make everyone wear the same dress, so this was a great way to make everyone look great together, but each with their own personality.

Holiday Mini Sessions-Sesiones Especiales para Navidad

The holidays will be here before we know it! I am excited to announce that I will be offering holiday mini sessions on three dates this year. These sessions are perfect if you don’t need a full session but still want to get some great pictures for holiday gifts or just to get some updated family portraits.Session dates are: October 17 & October 24 at different locations around Santiago. 45.000 pesos includes the session and either 30 personalized holiday cards or one 30×45cm gallery canvas, as well as a 10% discount on other products. There are limited spots available for each date, so if you want to reserve your spot or need more information, please contact info@medianaranjaphotography.com. Let you friends and co-workers know too! Aunque parece muy lejos, navidad estara aca pronto, ya que pasa tan rapido el tiempo! Me alegro anunicar que estare ofreciendo mini-sesiones para las fiestas en tres fechas. I had a great time with Luisa and her family at her maternity session last week. They are all from Argentina and so much fun. I think Luisa looks so beautiful and happy being pregnant and I can’t wait to meet baby Martina soon. Fue muy entretenido la sesion con Luisa y su familia. Son de Argentina y muy divertidos todos. Lindsay & Ricardo

I was so looking forward to this session. Lindsay is one of my best friends from college and my fellow “latin love” buddy. I can remember her coming back to school after her summer in Mexico shyly telling us about the guy she met and how nice he was. Four years later they were engaged and are now planning a summer Mexico wedding for next year. I spent a weekend out in Milwaukee for the 4th of July and loved taking their engagement pictures, hanging out and exploring downtown, the historic Third Ward and Lake Michigan, remembering good times from college. Here’s a sneak peek of my many favorites-they were just so fun to photograph.

Estaba muy emocionada para hacer esta sesion. Lindsay es uno de mis mejores amigas de la universidad y mi acompanate de amores latinos. Recuerdo cuando volvio a la universidad despues de su verano en Mexico y nos conto de el chico que habia conocido y tan simpatico era. 4 años despues se comprometieron y ahora estan planeando un matrimonio en Mexico para el proximo verano. Pase el fin de semana del 4 de julio en Milwaukee y disfrute mucho sacar sus fotos, pasear tiempo con amigos y explorar el centro, el Historic Third Ward y el Lago Michigan, recordando nuestros tiempos de la unidversidad. Aqui va una selecion de mis favoritos-fue muy divertido todo.

Lucie & Rodolfo (Couples Photography/Fotografia de Parejas)

I met up with Lucie and Rodolfo this past weekend in Pedro de Valdivia Norte for a fun couples session. They were married in Chile last August and are getting ready for a US wedding this summer and decided to have some fun, relaxed photos taken in between. You can tell very quickly after meeting them that they love to have a good time, laugh and enjoy each other’s company. I think they are laughing in at least 2/3 of the shots I took-which I love! Enjoy their sneak peek.

Junte con Lucie y Rodolfo este fin de semana en Pedro de Valdivia Norte por una sesion entretenida de pareja. Se casaron en Chile en agosto y estan preparando para un matrimonio en Estados Unidos pronto y decideron sacar algunas fotografias divertidos y relejadas entremedio. Luego de pasar un poco tiempo con ellos, es obvio que les gusta divertirse, reirse y pasar tiempo juntos. Creo que estan riendo en 2/3 de las fotos que tome-lo que es super bueno!
