La idea del concurso era compartir el amor y amistad y me alegro  por el bueno resultado. Por los que no estuvieron despiertos a las 12:00 de la manana, el premio fue peleado hasta el ultimo minuto, y al final termino en empate(137 a 137)! Entonces, tenemos dos ganadores, Jose Francisco y Adelina, y Cathy Galmez. Ambos ganaran el gran premio: una sesion de fotos + un disco de fotos de la sesion. Felicitaiones a ambos! Les estare contactando para coordinar su sesion.

Thanks to everyone for their participation in the Spread the Love contest. The partipation and excitement by everyone in the voting and the support among friends was incredible. The idea of the contest was to share and celebrate love and friendship and I am so happy with the result. For those of you that weren’t awake at midnight, the prize was well fought until the last minute, and ended up in a tie..137 to 137. So we have to winners, Jose Francisco & Adelina, and Cathy Galmez. Tambien hay que reconocer el esfuerzo de sus nominadores, Miriam Rebolledo y Renee Cunningham que  hicieron una gran campana para que sus amigos ganen. Ambas ganaran una sesion de fotos para ellas(no incluye las fotos) para celebrar su esfuerzo y amistad. Felicidades a ellas tambien!

I also have to recognize the effort of their nominators, Miriam Rebolledo and Renee Cunningham who both made a huge campaign so that their friends would win. Both will win a photo session for themselves(does not include the images) to celebrate their effort and friendship. Congratulations to these lovely ladies as well!

Con la llegada de febrero y en la espera del día de San Valentín, me alegro anunciar que Media Naranja Photography está ofreciendo el concurso “Celebra Amor y Amistad” de nuevo este año. Para ver los ganadores del año pasado, revisa aquí.

Yo creo que hay que aprovechar celebrar amor en todos sus formas: amor de pareja, familias, entre amigos, etc., porque todos significan algo importante en nuestras vidas. Para seguir con la idea, tu ayudas decidir quién gana, nominando la alguien que tu crees que mejor ejemplifica amor y/o amistad. El ganador del concurso recibirá una sesión fotográfica junto con un disco de fotos de la sesión.

Para participar vea los bases aquí:

1. Para nominar a alguien, manda un correo electrónico a info@medianaranjaphotography.com con el nombre de la persona y una historia de porque tu crees que esa persona representa el amor o amistad. Si tienes una foto, la puedes incluir también. (Con la nominación, das permiso publicarla en facebook y/o el blog. No puedes nominar a ti misma ni un miembro de tu familia inmediata-la idea es compartir el amor con los demás.
2. La nominación tiene que ser recibido entre el 31 de enero  yel  9 de febrero, 2011.
3. Entre el 10-13 de febrero, vota por su historia favorita a través de la página de Facebook de Media Naranja Photography. Avisa a sus amigos para que participen también!
4. Se anunciara el ganador el 14 de febrero. Para seguir compartiendo la buena onda, la persona que nomina al ganador también recibirá un descuento en una sesión fotográfica para ellos.
5. Las sesiones deben ser usada antes del 15 de abril en Santiago (Se puede realizar fuera de Santiago si el ganador paga el transporte). Puede ser una sesión de bebe, niños, familia o pareja de hasta 6 personas. No se puede usar el premio ni el descuento para una sesión ya comprada o programada.
6. Comparte los detalles con los amigos y familiares para que manden sus nominaciones también.
7. Cualquier duda, deja un comentario o mandame un correo.

With the arrival of February and Valentine’s Day coming soon and Media Naranja Photography is featuring the “Share the Love” contest again this year. Check out last year’s winners here.

I think its important to celebrate love in all its forms: between a couple, family or even friend, because they all mean a lot in our lives. To keep with the theme, you help decide who wins, nominating someone you think exemplifies love and/or friendship. The winner of the contest will receive a photo session and CD of images.

To participate, here’s how it works.

1. To nominate someone, send an e-mail to info@medianaranjaphotography.com with the name of the person and a paragraph on why you think that person represents love and/or friendship. If you have a photo, you can include it as well. (Note, by sending the nomination, you give permission for it to be published on the blog and/or facebook). You may not nominate yourself or a member of your immediate family-the idea is to share the love with others.
2. The nomination must be received between January 31 and February 9, 2011.
3. Between February 10-13, 2011, vote for your favorite story on Media Naranja Photography’s facebook page. Tell your friends so they participate too!
4. The winner will be announced on February 14. To keep sharing the love, the person who nominated the winner will receive a discount on a photo session for themselves as well.
5. The sessions must be used by April 10, 2011 in Santiago (for sessions outside of Santiago, the winner must pay a travel fee). It can be used towards a newborn, kids, family or couples session of up to 6 people. The prize and discount may not be used towards an already scheduled or purchased session or package.
6. I’d love it if you share this information with friends and family so that they send their nominations too.
