Amalia: 7 Months

Amalia has gotten so big! Remember her newborn and 3 month sessions? It was so great to see her and her family this past weekend and see her happy face and cute accessories.

Amalia ha crecido mucho! Recuerdes a ella de su sesion de recien nacido y de 3 meses. Fue bueno ver a ella y a su familia el fin de semana pasada y ver su cara feliz y accesorios bonitos.

#19: My Brother Shawn

One of my goals(#19) on my 50 in 501 list was to do a photoshoot with my brother (something my mom has been wanting as well). We have such a good time together and I wish that we could spend more time together on a regular basis. So when I was home in July we did a quick shoot one evening and here are some of my favorites.

I like this next one because anyone who knows my brother knows he is a big goofball, so this was him trying really hard to be serious.

The holidays will be here before we know it! I am excited to announce that I will be offering holiday mini sessions on three dates this year. These sessions are perfect if you don’t need a full session but still want to get some great pictures for holiday gifts or just to get some updated family portraits.Session dates are: October 17 & October 24 at different locations around Santiago. 45.000 pesos includes the session and either 30 personalized holiday cards or one 30×45cm gallery canvas, as well as a 10% discount on other products. I had a great time with Luisa and her family at her maternity session last week. They are all from Argentina and so much fun. I think Luisa looks so beautiful and happy being pregnant and I can’t wait to meet baby Martina soon. Fue muy entretenido la sesion con Luisa y su familia. Son de Argentina y muy divertidos todos. Creo que Luisa se ve muy linda y contenta con el embarazo y estoy ansiosa conocer a la pequena Martina pronto.

Catching Up:50 in 501

As some of you may remember, back in November I posted my list of 50 in 501. 50 goals to complete in 501 days. So as a quick break in between photo session posts, I thought I’d do a review here. I’ve been working on getting things accomplished, but haven’t really had the chance to post them all individually. So here’s a round up of some of the goals met.

#5: Find my own apartment

-Back in January I started renting my own mini 35 square meter apartment. It’s got a nice little kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom and its been fun making new apartment purchases(and realizing how quickly they add up) and I spent much of January making new curtains (and they actually came out quite stylishly). It also has an awesome view of the mountains from the roof.

#6: Visit a college friend

I did better than just visit one college friend- I spent 4th of July in Milwaukee with all of my favorite college people. I had such a great time catching up, eating out, visiting all there new apartments in the suburbs, and enjoying custard(can’t go to Wisconsin without it). I even finally made it to the world famous Summerfest after years of living in Milwaukee but never getting to go.

#11 Send out Christmas Carsd

-You can tell I haven’t posted much about this list in a while. I did send out Christmas cards in December. Email me if you want to get on the list for this year;-) Here was this year’s picture, taken by our friend Christian:

#15-Take a salsa class

-For Hugo’s birthday, I gave him salsa classes, which was a great excuse for us to get out, relearn how to salsa and spend some time together. We took classes for 3 months, learned a ton, and remember a very small percentage of it. But it is nice to have more than the same 2 moves to choose from. Now we just need to get out and practice more.

Avery: Fotos de Recien Nacido/Newborn Portraits

As some of you may have read on my quick peek on the Facebook fan page, Avery was a star at her photo session. She feel asleep right away and stayed that way for most of the session. Avery’s parents are so smitten with their new addition, it was just a pleasure to watch. Congratulations to the whole family. Enjoy the sneak peek.

Como algunas quizas han leido en nuestra pagina de Facebook, Avery fue una estrella en su sesion. Quedo dormido al tiro y quedo asi por la mayoria de la sesion. Meet Anthony

I had a great morning with Anthony, his mom and two aunts. He is such a smart, thoughtful and fun 16 month old boy. I think he was a little overwhelmed with all the excitement but he way happy to just water the plants, play a little baseball and read his books. Enjoy this sneak peek.

Pase una manana entretendia con Anthony, su mama y sus dos tias. Es un nino de 16 meses muy intelligente, pensativo y divertido. Estaba un poco abrumado con toda la accion, pero contento de regar las planta, jugar beisbol y disfrutar de sus libros. Disfrutan!

Lindsay & Ricardo

I was so looking forward to this session. Lindsay is one of my best friends from college and my fellow “latin love” buddy. I can remember her coming back to school after her summer in Mexico shyly telling us about the guy she met and how nice he was. Four years later they were engaged and are now planning a summer Mexico wedding for next year. I spent a weekend out in Milwaukee for the 4th of July and loved taking their engagement pictures, hanging out and exploring downtown, the historic Third Ward and Lake Michigan, remembering good times from college. Here’s a sneak peek of my many favorites-they were just so fun to photograph.

Estaba muy emocionada para hacer esta sesion. Lindsay es uno de mis mejores amigas de la universidad y mi acompanate de amores latinos. Recuerdo cuando volvio a la universidad despues de su verano en Mexico y nos conto de el chico que habia conocido y tan simpatico era. 4 años despues se comprometieron y ahora estan planeando un matrimonio en Mexico para el proximo verano. Pase el fin de semana del 4 de julio en Milwaukee y disfrute mucho sacar sus fotos, pasear tiempo con amigos y explorar el centro, el Historic Third Ward y el Lago Michigan, recordando nuestros tiempos de la unidversidad. Aqui va una selecion de mis favoritos-fue muy divertido todo.

Their only request was a shot with the city in the background. I love how this one turned out.

These two had a civil wedding ceremony at the restaurant in the background, so I wanted to make sure it got included in some way in our pictures.

Hicieron un matrimonio civil en el restaurante al fondo, entonces queria asegurar incluirlo de alguna forma en las fotos.

These two often went salsa dancing in Mexico, so I made sure to get them to show off some moves.

Ellos iban muy seguidos a bailar salsa en Mexico, entonces les hice mostrarnos algunos movimientos.

They are so much fun- I love her expression in this next one.

Nanny & Her Boys: Take 2

I am back in the US taking advantage of the summer heat for a while and doing some photo shoots as well. I took pictures of this Nanny and her grandsons last summer and was glad to see them all again and how much the boys have grown. We have been friends with this family since I was little and its so great to be able to capture all the new memories and stages of their lives. Here’s a sneak peek from their session on a very hot morning at the park.

Estoy en EEUU por algunas semanas para aprovechar el calor de verano y hacer algunas sesiones de fotos tambien. Saque fotos de esta abuela y sus nietos el verano pasado y disfrute ver cuanto han crecidos. He sido amiga con esta familia desde infancia y es especial poder capturar sus nuevos recuerdos y estapas.
